A NIGHT FOR THE STARS

It was a night set up for the stars. Georgina “AJ” Ntow, Mariam Yusif, and Deloris Aziks — all elite performers and legitimate MVP contenders — were expected to take center stage. Georgina and Deloris, in particular, have been neck and neck in the race for the league’s Most Valuable Player title this season.

NAVY'S EARLY SURGE

By halftime, Navy had edged ahead with a slim 28–27 lead, executing their game plan to perfection. Deloris lived up to her reputation, delivering a composed performance on both ends of the floor to keep Navy in control.

FATI COMES ALIVE

In the second half, Fati Adam grew in confidence and impact — bringing energy, heart, and a touch of daring to the Police offense. Her high-risk plays paid off spectacularly as she rained down five three-pointers en route to a game-high 21 points, leading Police to a hard-fought 49–45 comeback victory in Game 1 of the semi-final series.

BRUISED BUT NOT BATTERED

Despite the loss, Navy showed plenty of fight. Livewires Julaina Nana Yaa Cudjoe and Esther “Starr” turned in solid performances with 10 and 9 points respectively before both appeared to pick up knocks. Fans will be hoping their injuries are minor as the team prepares for a crucial Game 2.

WHAT NEXT?

The two sides will clash again on Wednesday, October 25, 2025, as Navy battles to stay alive and force a decisive Game 3. For Police, another win would seal back-to-back finals appearances — and confirm that a new star has truly arrived.
